She has held positions on several committees locally for Cottage Hospital and nationally through the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Golgert believes that the most important aspect of a patient’s medical care is his/her understanding of the problem. She takes time to explain how the body works and why symptoms and illnesses occur so the patient has a better understanding of the workup and treatment options available. Though it’s not possible to alleviate all symptoms and cure all problems, helping patients understand their conditions is a very important part of their care. She values the relationships that she develops with her patients, and she wants to be certain that patients feel comfortable with their visits and their medical decisions.
